Antivirus
To avoid a major breakdown in security, you should install original antivirus on all workstations. If these are part of a network, it is extra important that all devices are protected, so they do not “infect” each other. If you are not sure which antivirus you should install, we can help you choose from our experience with a large number of different computers and antivirus. A few rules of thumb: If a PC has more than 512 MB of RAM, we recommend NOD 32 from ESET. Between 512 MB and 1 GB of functions above and Panda fine. If the PC has from 1 GB and above we recommend using Kaspersky or Symantec (Norton). Remember: no antivirus guarantees a 100% virus free environment. There is always a risk, and this can not be minimized by installing more than one antivirus, as they often just want to work against each other.
